The Next Generation of iPhones: iPhone X

It was on September 12 of 2017, that the new iPhone was announced. Apple announced three phones that day: the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and with a surprise attack—the iPhone X (also known as the iPhone 10.)

The new iPhone X has been emphasized as the most innovative and creative, yet by Apple. As technology is advancing it’s only natural for smartphones to become even more intelligent. That is what Apple did—from a phone taking up too much space to getting the full picture, the iPhone X is an edge-to-edge screen without a home button and a top notch that holds its technology: the microphone, an infrared camera, flood illuminator (artificial light projecting you), speakers, the dot projector, sensors for light and proximity.

With stainless steel around its sides, the iPhone X has glass on both sides of the phone for authenticity. This phone has the highest pixel density (458ppi) display compared to its extensive line with great contrast, high resolution, brightness, HDR display, 3D touch, true tone displays and color accuracy—there is so much more! Its resolution far surpasses the rest of the line of iPhones with a resolution of 2436 X 1125. It is the first iPhone with OLED (organic light emitting diode) meaning that every single pixel illuminates its own light—the best picture quality in the palm of your hands!

A phone with a 5.8-inch diagonal measurement, the phone itself is a display due to the replacement of the home button for an upward swipe from the bottom of the screen. If you don’t have a home button, how will you lock your phone you ask?

Our vision has always been to create an iPhone that is entirely screen. One so immersive the device itself disappears into the experience. And so intelligent it can respond to a tap, your voice, and even a glance. With iPhone X, that vision is now a reality. Say hello to the future.

Goodbye, home button. I'm not going to miss you...

Have no fear, face recognition is here! But, seriously, Face ID is the newest and most innovative creation since the iPhone line existed. No need for fingerprint verification, but what unlocks your phone is your face directly looking at your front screen—with attention. It won’t unlock unless you have your eyes open and it can even recognize your face in the dark. Apple states that Face ID exemplifies maximum security in comparison to fingerprint authentication—there is one in a million chances of another person looking exactly like you, unless you’re an identical twin, who can look at it and unlock it your iPhone X. The tiny con is as Twitter tweeters have stated is through robbery and the thief making you look at your phone and unlock it or cutting off someone’s face to unlock their phone (hopefully none of these things happen, but it’s the con—the only con.)

Now to the most important description—the iPhone X has 4k video recording resolution. That’s a horizontal resolution in film and TV—that’s quality video! The dual camera on the backside of the phone has larger and faster sensors to capture maximum moving moments with 12 MP (mega pixels) and a new color filter with deeper pixels of f/1.8 and f/2.4 apertures. With its dual optical image stabilization, you have a better low-light zoom when ready to take a picture and the iPhone X has improved video stabilization (no more shaky videos!) Not only will your selfies and social media-worthy pictures look amazing, your phone will last you two hours more than the iPhone 7!

An exciting smartphone that not only utilizes the newest advancements like the A11 Bionic chip which has optimized two processes, internal processing and imaging hardware, for an augmented reality application. These innovative and creative advancements are all in the palm of your hand, but most importantly what Apple decided to do was make this phone highly recyclable with wireless charging! Tech Savvy and green! The iPhone X naturally surpasses its predecessor, the line of iPhones, due to its optimal use of screen display, innovative security authentication, and impacting green methods. Apple surely has created the start of a new generation of iPhones with the iPhone X.
