How did you get started as an entrepreneur?

I got started as an entrepreneur when I was 21. I co-founded a company called BeginU, which was a way to connect college students to student startups. I then started an online dating blog called Top Romp, which gave me the opportunity to learn digital marketing – Analytics, SEO, content marketing etc. I now bring the skills I learned from my previous experiences to my current venture, LIFT Protein Muffins!

What is Lift Protein Muffins?

LIFT Protein Muffins is a gluten-free, paleo muffin that serves as a meal replacement (18-19g protein). In short, it is a meal in a muffin!

Why did you start lift?

My mom and I started LIFT Protein Muffins to share our love of health and nutrition. We wanted to fill a need for people who are into eating healthy but also want the convenience of the on-the-go meal. We want LIFT Protein Muffins to make people’s lives easier, so they have more time to do what they need to be successful.

What kind of marketing have you been doing?

Email campaigns, content marketing, social media marketing, facebook ads, endorsement marketing, and direct out-reach.

What’s up next for Lift?

I want to get more LIFT Protein Muffins into the hands of influential health and wellness YouTubers and bloggers.

Who would the ideal Lift celebrity endorsement come from?

Mark Sisson, Rob Wolf – Paleo Leaders

Lebron James – Paleo during the offseason

What is Paleo exactly?

The Paleo Diet is a diet based on the foods that the hunter-gatherer ate 10,000 years ago. This consists of high-quality beef, chicken, wild fish, nuts, fruits and vegetables – a low inflammatory diet free of processed foods and grains.

How many muffins have you sold so far?

A little over 400 muffins.

Why did you choose muffins?

We wanted to create something different. We felt muffins represent something substantial, more so than a bar. And who doesn’t love muffins?! We wanted to put a twist on muffins by making them high in protein, creating the value of the on-the-go, healthy, and convenient meal!

What’s something people should know about Lift and how should people follow your company?

By the age of 21, I had already experimented with countless diets. I’ve experienced feeling bloated after meals and being overweight. My brother introduced me to the Paleo Diet, which I learned was more than just a diet but rather a lifestyle. At LIFT we are creating more than just muffins, we are looking to create a community of high-achievers, who turn to high-quality food to be more effective at work, at home, and the things that are most important to them!
